On South Carolina Day, March 18^th, the second grade classes at Long Cane Primary School learned about different symbols that represent South Carolina.  Students helped to create the State Flag using their handprints.  They formed the Palmetto Tree and the Crescent Moon.

Six classes worked together:  Mrs. Susan Glenn, Mrs. Frankie McNair, Mrs. Rita Gamble, Mrs. Susan Lybrand, Mrs. Oliva Crawford and Mrs. Brenda Perry.
