Long Cane Primary in Abbeville begins the PBIS program with a great start.  PBIS is a Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports program that Long Cane is implementing school-wide. All students are striving to be an All-STAR.  The students are “caught when their behavior is positive” and rewarded by earning individual tickets, All-STAR Classroom Links, an opportunity to attend the All-STAR Party, etc.  Each student is trying to be a “STAR” – S-Stay on Task, T- Try Your Best, A- Act Safely and R-Respect Others.  Recently Principal Millie Ricketts awarded the STAR students that earned at least 10 stars an Ice Pop and a pencil.  The students enjoyed earning the Principal Prize.  We love having All-STAR students at Long Cane Primary.
