Abbeville High School received notification of a bomb threat via a reported SnapChat message early this morning and before student arrival. Students were immediately diverted to another district facility until a sweep of the building could be conducted by law enforcement officials. A sweep of the building has been conducted and the suspect is in custody. All students and staff are safe. At this time, all schools are operating on a normal schedule. Abbeville County School District appreciates the effort and cooperation of all law enforcement and first responders and that of our parents and community. Student safety remains our first priority.  |
