In social studies, Westwood Elementary's 5th graders have been learning about Western Expansion and how the United States increased in land and population during the 1800's. To recognize this era students were asked to dress in western wear to celebrate the lives of the cowboys, ranchers, pioneers, and miners as part of WWES Western Day.
