Westwood’s Fourth Graders took a delightful fieldtrip to the PAIA Lower Eastern Cherokee Nation's Kids Day. Members of the tribe taught the students about the traditional ways of the Cherokee people. In the first picture, the story teller is showing a traditional woman's dress, after telling a story. The second picture is the chief, showing many of the tools, weapons, and decorations used by his ancestors. The last picture is a woman showing the children what was involved in making clothing from animal hides and feathers.
